SAA Releases 2026 Men’s and Women’s Tennis Preseason Polls
The Southern Athletic Association released its preseason polls for the 2026 men’s and women’s tennis seasons, with Trinity University leading both rankings. The league office announced the results Thursday.
The Millsaps women’s team was picked seventh, earning 20 points, while the men’s team was ranked eighth with 15 points. Both teams aim to improve their standings and qualify for the postseason, which includes the top six teams in the conference.
On the women’s side, Trinity University received 55 points and six first-place votes to top the poll. Sewanee finished second with 49 points and two first-place votes, followed by Rhodes College with 43 points. Millsaps, which finished seventh, hopes to prove doubters wrong after earning 20 points.
The men’s poll saw Trinity also in first place with 56 points and seven first-place votes. Sewanee was second with 49 points and one first-place vote. Southwestern placed third with 45 points. Millsaps, in eighth, garnered 15 points and will look to climb higher this season. The Majors open their season at Blue Mountain Christian on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
