SAA Releases 2026 Men’s and Women’s Tennis Preseason Polls
The Southern Athletic Association released its 2026 preseason tennis polls Thursday, highlighting Trinity University as the top team in both the men’s and women’s rankings. The league office announced that the Millsaps College women’s team was selected seventh, while the men’s team was picked eighth.
The women’s side features Trinity University with 55 points and six first-place votes, followed by Sewanee with 49 points and two first-place votes. Rhodes College is third with 43 points. Millsaps, ranked seventh, received 20 points and aims to improve after being considered underdogs in the preseason poll.
On the men’s side, Trinity University holds the top spot with 56 points and seven first-place votes. Sewanee is second with 49 points and one first-place vote. Southwestern is third with 45 points. Millsaps, ranked eighth, garnered 15 points and plans to surpass conference rivals during the season, which begins with a match against Blue Mountain Christian on Saturday, Feb. 7, in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
