Owls’ Basketball Players Recognized on SLIAC All-Academic Teams
Columbus, Miss. — Two Mississippi University for Women basketball players have been named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) All-Academic Team for their respective divisions, according to the league.
Conley Langford, a senior biology major, is a four-year starter and letterwinner. She is set to graduate in May 2026. Langford has earned her third consecutive SLIAC All-Academic award and has also been named All-SLIAC three times. She holds 22 school records across points, rebounds, and other categories, including a total of 1,522 points and 704 rebounds, making her the most prolific player in the school’s modern athletic history.
Jackson Reid, a senior who transferred from Schreiner University in Texas, spent two seasons at MUW. He earned a cybersecurity degree and is working toward an MBA, which he will complete in May 2026. Reid played a vital role in the Owls’ historic run to the program’s first SLIAC championship and NCAA Division III tournament appearance in 2025-26. He was also named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team this year.
To qualify for the SLIAC All-Academic honor, student-athletes must participate in varsity sports, have been enrolled at their institution for at least one year before the season, and maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA, according to the league.
