Owls Baseball hosts first-ever home SLIAC tournament game Tuesday

By participating in the 2026 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) tournament, Mississippi University for Women’s softball team will host its first-ever home game Tuesday at CCA Field. The No. 4-seed Owls (22-17) will face No. 5-seed Westminster College in a quarterfinal elimination game.

The winner advances to the double-elimination round, scheduled for May 7-10 in Fulton, Missouri. This marks MUW’s third consecutive season qualifying for the SLIAC tournament since joining the conference. Last year, the team finished second in the tournament, which determines the conference’s representative for the NCAA Division III playoffs.

First pitch is set for 5 p.m. at CCA Field. Tickets will be sold at the gate, with prices set at $5 for adults, $3 for students and children, and free for MUW students with ID. No passes will be accepted, as it is a tournament game.

During the regular season, the Owls won two of three games against Westminster in a series played April 11-12 in Fulton, Missouri.
