Ole Miss Women’s Golf Schedule Adjusted Due to Weather in South Carolina
The University of Mississippi women’s golf team has altered its schedule for the upcoming Old Barnwell Derby Match Play because of projected weather conditions in South Carolina, the school announced Monday.
The event, originally scheduled for March 16-17, will now begin on Sunday, March 15, and conclude on Tuesday, March 17. The first two matches will be played Sunday, with the final match scheduled for Tuesday. No matches are planned for Monday due to thunderstorms forecasted in the area, according to Ole Miss officials.
The change comes as the team prepares to compete in the highly anticipated event, which is part of its spring schedule. Fans can follow the team’s updates and results on the Ole Miss women’s golf social media channels, including Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
Ole Miss women’s golf recently competed at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, where the No. 15-ranked team concluded play earlier this week. The Rebels’ schedule also includes upcoming events such as the Clemson Invitational, SEC Championship, NCAA Regionals, and NCAA Championships, with dates and locations to be announced.
The team and coaching staff remain focused on their season amid the schedule adjustments caused by weather concerns, the university said.
