Ole Miss women’s basketball prepares for SEC road game at Missouri

Ole Miss women’s basketball will play its fourth road game in five contests when it faces Missouri on Thursday in Columbia. Tipoff at Mizzou Arena is set for 6:30 p.m. CT, with coverage on SEC Network+.

The Rebels, ranked No. 18 nationally, hold a 16-4 overall record and are 3-2 in SEC play. Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin is in her eighth season at Ole Miss.

The Tigers, under first-year coach Kellie Harper, stand at 13-8 overall and 1-5 in league play. Missouri’s top player, junior guard Grace Slaughter, averages 19 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. The team ranks seventh nationally in free throw percentage at 79.6%.

Ole Miss leads the series against Missouri 13-5, winning the last four matchups. The Rebels secured their biggest victory over the Tigers last season, a 66-45 win, holding Missouri to just 17 field goals and no three-pointers.

In their most recent game, Ole Miss fell to Georgia 82-59. Christeen Iwuala led the team with a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Rebels will look to bounce back against Missouri, which has struggled in SEC play but features talented shooters and strong free throw shooting.
