Ole Miss Women’s Basketball Hosts Arkansas in First Oxford Game in a Month
Ole Miss women’s basketball will play at the SJB Pavilion in Oxford for the first time in a month when it hosts Arkansas on Thursday, February 12. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on SEC Network, according to school officials.
The No. 14/16 Rebels enter the game with a 19-5 record overall and a 6-3 mark in Southeastern Conference play. Head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin, in her eighth season at Ole Miss, has led the team to multiple 20-win seasons. Arkansas, coached by Kelsi Musick in her first year leading the Razorbacks, is 11-14 overall and 0-10 in the SEC.
Ole Miss leads the series against Arkansas 30-21 and has won the last five matchups. The Rebels recorded their largest victory over Arkansas in 2024-25, defeating the Razorbacks 87-43 in Oxford. Last season, Ole Miss won by 39 points in Fayetteville, with Madison Scott recording her 30th career double-double in the process.
Arkansas features Taleyah Jones, who averages 17.3 points per game and shoots 40.2% from three-point range. Bonnie Deas contributes 10.2 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. The Razorbacks struggle defensively around the rim, averaging only 2.5 blocks per game against SEC opponents, but they excel in scoring from their bench, averaging 26.4 points per game from reserves.
Ole Miss recently lost a close game to Alabama 64-63. Christeen Iwuala and Latasha Lattimore each posted double-doubles, with Iwuala recording her 10th of the season, tying her with Madison Scott for the school record.
