Ole Miss Track & Field’s Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan Named USTFCCCA National Athlete of the Week

Ole Miss senior Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Athlete of the Week, the organization announced Monday. This is his second career weekly honor from the USTFCCCA.

Robinson-O’Hagan made headlines with his outdoor season debut at the Ole Miss Classic two weeks ago. He won both the shot put and the hammer throw, with the latter in historic fashion. His third-round toss of 77.62 meters (254-8) shattered the facility and Ole Miss all-time records.

The throw ranks as the best by a collegian early in the season and makes Robinson-O’Hagan the second-best American-born collegiate performer. He now ranks second in SEC history, 11th in collegiate history, and 16th in American history. For 2026, he leads all collegians, ranks third among Americans, and 10th worldwide.

His hammer distance, combined with a personal record in the outdoor shot put of 20.88 meters, pushed his career combined collegiate record to 98.50 meters. He also won the shot put with a mark of 20.42 meters, totaling 98.04 meters for the weekend. Robinson-O’Hagan’s performances have established him as a top contender nationally and internationally.

Ole Miss track & field returns to competition this week. The distance squad will compete at the Stanford Invitational, while the rest of the team heads to LSU for the Battle on the Bayou.
