Ole Miss Track & Field’s Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan Named SEC Field Athlete of the Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Ole Miss senior Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan has been named the Southeastern Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. This marks his fourth weekly honor this season, according to the SEC.
Robinson-O’Hagan extended his collegiate lead in the shot put with a season-best throw of 20.81 meters (68 feet, 3.25 inches) at LSU’s Battle on the Bayou last week. The mark leads all Americans and ranks fourth worldwide for the 2026 outdoor season, the university said.
He also won the hammer with a toss of 72.17 meters (236 feet, 9 inches), defeating reigning NCAA runner-up Angelos Mantzouranis of Minnesota. Robinson-O’Hagan’s season-opening hammer throw of 77.62 meters (254 feet, 8 inches) ranks second in American collegiate history and leads the NCAA by 12 feet, the university added.
Ole Miss track and field is set to host the Joe Walker Invite on April 10-11 at Prefontaine Stadium. The Rebels recently competed at LSU’s Battle on the Bayou and Stanford’s invitational, among other meets, according to their schedule.
