Ole Miss Track & Field Wins Three SEC Indoor Season Awards

Ole Miss track and field secured three SEC indoor season awards Thursday, with Alicia Burnett, Akaoma Odeluga, and Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan each earning top honors, according to the SEC.

Burnett became the first woman in Ole Miss history to win SEC Runner of the Year, and the first indoor recipient for the program. She also secured the school’s first women’s 60-meter dash title, clocking in at 7.08 seconds, tying her for the NCAA lead and ranking 10th all-time in collegiate history, according to SEC officials.

Odeluga earned SEC Field Athlete of the Year honors for the second time in her career. She scored 16 points at the conference meet, claiming silver in both the shot put and weight throw. Her shot put mark of 18.69 meters (61-4) ranks 13th in NCAA indoor history. Odeluga is qualified for the upcoming national meet in both events.

Robinson-O’Hagan made history as the first three-peat winner of the SEC Indoor Field Athlete of the Year award. The NCAA champion and 12-time All-American swept the shot put and weight throw at the conference meet, earning his third consecutive Cliff Harper Trophy. He enters the national meet as the NCAA leader in the shot put with a career-best 21.18 meters (69-6) and season-best 23.78 meters (78-0.25) in the weight throw, SEC officials said.

All three athletes are scheduled to compete at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships in Arkansas in March, along with Sterling Scott, Bryson Smith, Skylar Soli, and Arvesta Troupe.

Other 2026 SEC indoor award winners include Auburn’s Kayinsola Ajayi and Georgia’s Jonathan Simms and Temoso Masikane, among others, SEC announced.
