Ole Miss Track & Field Sets Two School Records at Clemson’s Bob Pollock Invitational
Clemson, S.C. — The University of Mississippi track and field team set two school records and posted numerous personal bests at Clemson’s Bob Pollock Invitational, which concluded Saturday. The event featured top collegiate athletes competing over two days.
Senior and All-American Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan led the Rebels with a career-best throw of 21.18 meters (69-6), improving his personal record and moving him to No. 2 in both the U.S. and world rankings for 2026. Robinson-O’Hagan’s series included five legal throws of at least 20.71 meters (67-11.50). His performance not only broke his own school record but also placed him 20th in collegiate history and second in SEC indoor history, nearing the SEC record of 21.33 meters (69-11.75).
Freshman Jordan Urrutia continued to impress, winning the 200-meter dash in 20.89 seconds — just 0.01 seconds shy of Kendrick Triggs’ 2002 school record. Urrutia’s time ranks 18th nationally this season and marks his first indoor sub-21 effort. Later, Urrutia and his relay teammates finished second in the 4×400-meter relay with a time of 3:08.61, the fastest indoor performance for Ole Miss since 2004.
On the women’s side, freshman Patchnalie Compere debuted with a third-place finish in the 200-meter dash, clocking 23.39 seconds — the best indoor 200 ever for an Ole Miss freshman and a Haitian national record. Meanwhile, junior transfer Sterling Scott won the men’s triple jump with a mark of 16.14 meters (52-11.50), ranking fourth in Ole Miss history and among the top in the NCAA.
Other notable performances included Logan Kelley clearing 5.46 meters (17-11) in the pole vault, marking a personal best and the second-best indoor mark in Ole Miss history. Distance runners Aiden Britt and Beth Arentz each won their respective 3,000-meter races, with Britt clocking 7:51.11 and Arentz 9:15.24 — both personal bests and top in Ole Miss history.
The Rebels will continue their season next week at the New Mexico Classic in Albuquerque, scheduled for February 6-7.
