Ole Miss Softball Freshman Madi George Named to Softball America April Power Rankings

Ole Miss softball freshman Madi George has been recognized in Softball America’s April position power rankings. She is ranked as the No. 19 outfielder in the nation, according to the publication.

This is George’s second straight month appearing in the national rankings. She is also seventh among SEC outfielders and ranks behind only Oklahoma’s Kai Minor among SEC freshmen.

George has made a significant impact for the Rebels, primarily batting in the cleanup spot. She is hitting .369 with 10 home runs, 31 RBIs, 16 extra-base hits, and 21 walks. She leads Ole Miss in home runs, walks, total bases, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage.

The freshman is just one home run shy of entering the single-season top 10 at Ole Miss. The Rebels have a few days off before hosting Samford on April 7 at 7:30 p.m. CT, a game televised on the SEC Network.

Ole Miss continues its schedule with multiple upcoming games, and fans are encouraged to join Rebel Rewards, the university’s fan loyalty program powered by Coca-Cola. Information is available on the Ole Miss sports mobile app and the university’s athletic website.
