Ole Miss Men’s Tennis to Host No. 11 Georgia in Key SEC Matchup
The University of Mississippi men’s tennis team is set to face No. 11 Georgia on Friday at 3 p.m. at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center in Oxford. The Rebels (15-4, 3-4 SEC) are coming off a 5-2 victory on the road against No. 16 South Carolina.
Georgia (12-5, 4-4 SEC) boasts a deep roster with nationally ranked players in singles and doubles. The Bulldogs’ top singles players include No. 37 Arda Azkara, No. 38 Will Jansen, and No. 103 Santiago Giamichelle. Their doubles teams are also highly ranked, with No. 26 Azkara and Giamichelle, and No. 75 Jansen and Gabriele Vulpitta.
Ole Miss counters with freshman Stefano D’Agostino, ranked No. 77 in singles and No. 85 in doubles with partner Pietro Pampanin. The Rebels have maintained a perfect 10-0 record at home this season, leveraging their home-court advantage to challenge the Bulldogs.
