Ole Miss Men’s Tennis to Finish Regular Season with Two Home Matches

OLE MISS, Miss. — The No. 25 Ole Miss men’s tennis team is set to wrap up its regular season with two home matches against top-25 teams. The Rebels will face No. 19 Auburn on Friday, April 10, at 3 p.m. and host No. 22 Kentucky on Sunday, April 12, at noon.

The Rebels (17-7, 5-7 SEC) are coming off a victory over Tennessee and are looking to build momentum heading into the postseason. The team features two ranked singles players, No. 79 Stefano D’Agostino and No. 117 Matthieu Chambonniere, along with a ranked doubles pair, No. 25 Isac Stromberg and Kai Milburn.

Auburn (15-8, 5-7 SEC) will bring two ranked singles players, No. 23 Amirkhamza Nasridinov and No. 66 Billy Blayes, as well as the No. 12 doubles team, Billy Blades and Freddy Blaydes. Kentucky (15-10, 5-7 SEC) counters with four ranked singles players, including No. 20 Eli Stephenson and No. 78 Jack Loutit. The Wildcats also boast two ranked doubles teams, No. 16 Stephenson and Loutit, and No. 89 Breysach and Charlelie Cosnet.

The matches are critical for Ole Miss to improve its SEC standing before the postseason begins. Before the Kentucky game, seniors Stromberg, Noah Schlagenhauf, and Gordon Whitwell will be recognized for their contributions on senior day.
