Ole Miss Men’s Golf Duo Completes First Day at Thomas Sharkey Collegiate

STATESBORO, Ga. — The Ole Miss men’s golf team opened the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate with two rounds Saturday at Georgia Southern University Golf Course, according to the university’s athletics department.

Collins Trolio shot a total of five-over par over 36 holes, finishing with rounds of four-over and one-over. Despite playing the par-5s three-under in the first round, Trolio struggled on other holes. Jacob Blanton posted an opening round of 78, including two birdies, and improved to a 73 in the second round, ending the day at seven-over par.

The final round is scheduled to begin Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start. Updates will be available on Ole Miss’s social media channels, including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and the official athletics website.

The tournament marks the start of Ole Miss’s spring season. Both players aim to improve their scores ahead of upcoming events.
