Ole Miss Men’s Golf Concludes Regular Season at Mossy Oak Collegiate

The University of Mississippi men’s golf team, ranked No. 13 nationally, completed its regular season at the Mossy Oak Collegiate in West Point, Mississippi. The Rebels finished among the top teams at the event held at Mossy Oak Golf Club, which features a design that emphasizes natural Mississippi Black Prairie terrain, according to course architects.

Ole Miss entered the tournament after their seventh top-five finish of the season. The team returned to Mossy Oak, which was recently renovated and previously hosted the event at Old Waverly. The tournament schedule consisted of 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.

Senior Tom Fischer led the team, boasting a team-best scoring average of 70.04 and multiple top 15 finishes this season. Fellow seniors Cameron Tankersley and Cohen Trolio also contributed, with Tankersley earning his first collegiate victory at The Invitational at the Honors Course earlier this season. Freshman Daniel Tolf secured his first collegiate win at the Watersound Invitational, setting a career-low 54-hole score of 201 (-9).

The Rebels’ roster also features Collins Trolio, Finn Meister, and other young talents aiming to extend Ole Miss’s postseason streak. The team has qualified for nine consecutive NCAA regional tournaments and aims for its eighth NCAA Championship appearance this year.

This season marked one of the most successful in program history, with Ole Miss earning its first No. 1 ranking and reaching the NCAA semifinals at La Costa. The team set records for team rounds under par and finished inside the top five nine times, the most since the 1984-85 season, according to university athletics.

Ole Miss will now prepare for postseason play, with upcoming tournaments including the SEC Championship, NCAA Regionals, and the NCAA Championships.
