Ole Miss Guard Zach Day Named to SEC Community Service Team
Ole Miss guard Zach Day has been named to the Southeastern Conference’s 2025-26 Community Service Team. The SEC announced the honor Thursday, recognizing Day’s extensive volunteer efforts during the season, according to the university.
Day participated in the department-wide Adopt A Basket initiative, donating more than 100 baskets of food to families in need during Thanksgiving. The program serves communities in Lafayette, Oxford, and the university area, aiming to ensure families enjoy the holiday season.
He also contributed to Feed The Sip, a food sustainability project within the Stronger Together MS Initiative. Day helped collect and donate non-perishable food items benefiting elementary students in Tunica and Quitman counties, with the Ole Miss men’s basketball team collectively donating over 14,000 items annually.
During the holiday season, Day supported the CASA Christmas event, helping provide gifts for children and families supported by CASA of North Mississippi. This marks the 28th year the SEC has recognized men’s basketball community service members, with all 22 league sports participating since 2004.
Day’s community efforts highlight his commitment to service off the court. For more updates on Ole Miss men’s basketball, follow the Rebels on X at @OleMissMBB, Facebook, and Instagram.
