Ole Miss’ Elliott and Furniss Named to 2026 Preseason All-SEC Baseball Team

The Southeastern Conference announced the 2026 preseason All-SEC baseball team, highlighting Ole Miss players Hunter Elliott and Will Furniss. Elliott was named to the First Team as a starting pitcher, while Furniss was named to the Second Team as a first baseman, according to the SEC.

Elliott made 16 starts in 2025, serving as the Rebels’ primary Friday night starter. He finished the season with a 10-3 record, a 2.94 ERA, and 102 strikeouts. The junior held opponents to a .197 batting average and picked off 13 baserunners, more than any other Rebel in the modern era, SEC officials said. Elliott’s 10-win, 100+ strikeout seasons are notable milestones in Ole Miss history.

Furniss started 51 games at first base last season, batting .305 with 12 home runs, 47 RBIs, and 43 walks. He set a program record for walks in a game with five against Mississippi State on May 10. During the Oxford Regional, Furniss hit .455 with two home runs and was named to the All-Tournament Team, SEC officials added.

The Rebels are preparing for the upcoming season with single-game tickets now on sale. Fans can follow Ole Miss baseball on social media or join the Rebel Rewards loyalty program for exclusive prizes, officials said.
