Ole Miss Baseball’s Hunter Elliott and Judd Utermark Named 2026 Preseason All-Americans
The National College Baseball Writers Association announced its 2026 Preseason All-America Teams Friday, recognizing Ole Miss players Hunter Elliott and Judd Utermark. Elliott was named to the first team, while Utermark received third-team honors, marking the first preseason All-American selection for Utermark.
Elliott, who made 16 starts in 2025 as the Rebels’ primary Friday night pitcher, went 10-3 with a 2.94 ERA and 102 strikeouts. He held opponents to a .197 batting average and picked off 13 baserunners, more than any other Rebel in the modern era, according to Ole Miss athletics. Elliott became the fifth pitcher in program history to record a 10-win, 100-strikeout season and is one of four Rebels to top 100 strikeouts in two seasons.
Utermark started 63 games for Ole Miss in 2025, mostly at second base. He led the team in RBIs, home runs, and total bases. His 22 home runs are the second-most in a single season for the program, and his 69 RBIs rank fourth. Utermark homered in each game of the Oxford Regional, hitting six home runs over five games. He also was named to the Oxford Regional All-Tournament Team and the SEC Championship All-Tournament Team.
Ole Miss has begun selling single-game tickets for the 2026 season. Fans can purchase tickets online. The school also encourages fans to join Rebel Rewards, the team’s loyalty program powered by Coca-Cola. Followers can earn points for attending events and redeem them for prizes by signing up through the Ole Miss Sports app and following the team on social media channels.
