Northwest Mississippi Community College Announces 2026 Football Schedule with 10-Game Regular Season

The Northwest Mississippi Community College football team released its schedule for the 2026 season, featuring several key matchups as the Rangers seek their third consecutive Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference title, according to the school.

Major changes include the MACCC moving to a 10-game regular season starting the week of August 27 and ending the week of October 29. The conference eliminated bye weeks, meaning each team will play five home and five away games.

The season opens with a trip to Jones College on August 27. The Rangers will also play road games against Copiah-Lincoln Community College on September 10, Northeast Mississippi Community College on September 24, Holmes Community College on October 8, and East Mississippi Community College on October 29, which closes the regular season.

At home, Northwest begins the season with a rematch against Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on September 3. The team’s home schedule continues with a game against Mississippi Delta Community College on September 17, followed by Homecoming against Coahoma Community College on October 1. The Rangers will also host Itawamba Community College on October 15 and Southwest Mississippi Community College on October 22 to close out their home games.

The postseason begins November 5 with semifinals hosted by the top seeds from the North and South divisions. The season concludes with the Mississippi Bowl on November 19, hosted by the team with the best overall record.
