Florida Memorial University has named Noel Kellum as its Owl of the Week for March 9-15, 2026. Kellum competed in his first decathlon at the University of Montevallo Falcon Classic, becoming the first Owl to participate in the event.
He finished third out of eight competitors, behind two NCAA Division II athletes. Kellum won the javelin with a throw of 45.51 meters, the discus at 36.23 meters, and the shot put at 11.71 meters. He also finished second in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:57.13, totaling 4,718 points.
Kellum’s performance marked a historic milestone for the school’s track and field program, showcasing his versatility and skill across multiple events during the two-day competition.
