Mississippi Valley State to Host Arkansas-Pine Bluff in SWAC Matchup

ITTA BENA, Miss. — The Mississippi Valley State University men’s basketball team will face Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Saturday at the R.W. Harrison HPER Complex. Tip-off is set for approximately 3 p.m. central time, according to the school’s athletic department.

Head coach George Ivory, a former UAPB player and coach, aims to secure a win against his former team. Mississippi Valley State enters the game with a 1-20 record overall and 0-7 in SWAC play, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff holds a 7-13 record and is 4-3 in conference games, officials said.

The series history between the teams favors Mississippi Valley State slightly, with the Delta Devils leading 35-34 since 1983. The last time these teams met was on March 1, 2025, when Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeated Mississippi Valley State 83-58, according to school records.
