Mississippi Valley State Tennis Teams Advance to 2026 SWAC Tournament

The Mississippi Valley State men’s and women’s tennis teams have qualified for the 2026 Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament, set for April 17-19 at City Park Tennis Center in New Orleans.

The Delta Devils women enter as the No. 8 seed and will face top-seeded Jackson State in the opening round Friday at 9 a.m. Valley will aim for an upset against the Tigers as postseason play begins.

On the men’s side, Mississippi Valley State earned the No. 6 seed and will face No. 4 seed Southern in quarterfinal action Friday at 5:30 p.m. The winner will advance to the semifinals, with both teams seeking a deep run in the tournament.

The three-day event concludes with championship matches on Sunday, April 19. Quarterfinals are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. CST Friday, featuring the conference’s top programs competing for the league title in New Orleans.
