Mississippi Valley State Baseball Hosts Alabama A&M in Home Opening Series

The Mississippi Valley State University baseball team is playing its first home games of the season after more than a month of traveling through six states. The Diamond Devils welcome Alabama A&M to campus for their home opening series, with the Sunday game televised on SWAC TV.

The series features Alabama A&M, which holds a 7-20 record overall and a 2-5 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference play, against Mississippi Valley State, which is 4-17 overall and 0-6 in conference play. The games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Magnolia Field in Itta Bena.

Since 2009, Alabama A&M leads the series 50-37, with the last meeting taking place March 23, 2025, in Huntsville, Alabama. Mississippi Valley State won that game 9-4. The Diamond Devils are riding a one-game winning streak, with their last win over Alabama A&M on March 22, 2025, by a score of 12-11.
