Mississippi Valley State Baseball Heads to Jackson State Round Robin Tournament

JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Valley State University baseball team travels to Jackson this weekend for a three-game non-conference tournament at Jackson State’s Braddy Field. The Delta Devils will face UNC Asheville on Friday, followed by games against Jackson State and Alcorn State on Saturday and Sunday.

Mississippi Valley, which currently holds a 0-6 record, will play UNC Asheville (2-6) on Friday at 2 p.m., Jackson State (5-4) on Saturday at 3 p.m., and Alcorn State (1-7) on Sunday at 2 p.m. All games will be streamed with live stats available for each matchup. Tickets are available for spectators.

Jackson State leads the series against Mississippi Valley 68-10 since 2012, with the Tigers winning their last matchup 10-2 on May 4, 2025. Alcorn State also holds an advantage over Mississippi Valley with a series record of 166-96-1, with the Braves’ last win over the Delta Devils coming on March 20, 2024. UNC Asheville will make its first appearance against Mississippi Valley in this tournament.

The Tigers have a winning streak of nine games against Jackson State since 2012, while Alcorn has won four straight games against the Delta Devils. The last time Mississippi Valley defeated Jackson State was on May 4, 2025, and the last victory over Alcorn was on March 28, 2025.
