Guards Josh Hubbard and Ja’Borri McGhee addressed reporters after the game, sharing their thoughts on the contest and the team’s future. Hubbard said he remained focused on building momentum for the SEC tournament, despite the loss.

“I was so just focused on building momentum into the SEC tournament,” Hubbard said. “Trying to create momentum for next week and getting a feel good in us before we go to Nashville.”

McGhee reflected on his early success with three-pointers and emphasized the importance of teamwork. “It felt great. I was looking forward to this all week,” he said. “But it’s basketball and it happens. I had fun with the team, and I don’t see Senior Night as a big deal right now.”

Hubbard pointed to defensive issues, noting Georgia’s speed and transition game. “They’re a very fast team,” he said. “In the first half, we didn’t communicate well. They got quick transition points, threes, and layups. We adjusted, but it was still a challenge to stop them.”
