Mississippi State’s Ace Reese, Noah Sullivan Named First Team All-SEC
Two Mississippi State baseball players earned first team All-SEC honors, the league announced Thursday. Third baseman Ace Reese and designated hitter and utility player Noah Sullivan were recognized by SEC coaches ahead of the 2026 season.
Reese, a sophomore from Canton, Texas, was a first team All-SEC selection last spring and the SEC Newcomer of the Year. He started 57 games at third base and led the team with a .352 batting average, 80 hits, 18 doubles, 21 home runs, 66 RBIs, and a .718 slugging percentage. Reese also ranked in the top seven in the SEC in multiple categories, and produced 25 multi-hit games, 20 multi-RBI games, and five multi-homer games, according to Mississippi State athletics.
Sullivan, a graduate from Orlando, Florida, was the only Bulldog to start all 59 games last season, serving as both a pitcher and designated hitter. He hit .345 with 70 hits, 16 doubles, 15 home runs, and 46 RBIs. Sullivan ranked third in the SEC with a .475 on-base percentage and reached base in 33 consecutive games. He also posted a 1.96 ERA in seven midweek starts on the mound, with 15 strikeouts in 18 1/3 innings, without earning a decision, the school said.
The Bulldogs are projected to finish third in the SEC, receiving four first-place votes in the preseason coaches poll. Mississippi State opens its season against Hofstra in a three-game series starting Feb. 13 at home.
Reese and Sullivan have received multiple preseason honors, including All-American mentions and academic awards. The team’s schedule and more updates are available on Mississippi State athletics’ website and social media channels.
