Mississippi State Women’s Basketball Beats Arkansas on the Road

Fayetteville, Ark. — Mississippi State women’s basketball extended its winning streak in Southeastern Conference play Monday, defeating Arkansas 75-66 on the road. The Bulldogs (18-8, 5-7 SEC) led throughout the game and never trailed the Razorbacks (11-16, 0-12 SEC).

Mississippi State opened with a 13-0 run and held Arkansas scoreless until after the first media timeout. The Bulldogs shot a season-high 48.3 percent from three-point range, making 14 shots from beyond the arc. Nine players scored, with four reaching double figures.

Favour Nwaedozi and Jaylah Lampley led the team with 13 points each. Lampley made three three-pointers at a 60 percent clip and added seven rebounds. Nwaedozi shot 50 percent from the floor, nearly earning a double-double with nine rebounds and three steals.

Madison Francis and Trayanna Crisp each scored 11 points. Francis went 5-for-6 from the field, including three three-pointers, tying her season high. Crisp hit three three-pointers for the seventh time this season, helping the Bulldogs improve to 6-1 when she hits three or more triples.

Additionally, Fane contributed nine points, tying her career high with three three-pointers, and added a steal. The Bulldogs will return to Humphrey Coliseum on Thursday to face Florida, with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m. on SEC Network+.
