Mississippi State Reschedules Baseball Series Against Lipscomb Due to Weather
STARKVILLE, Miss. — Mississippi State and Lipscomb have agreed to move their weekend baseball series to Thursday because of forecasted inclement weather in the Starkville area, according to an announcement from the university.
The series will now begin Thursday at 6 p.m. Central Time at Dudy Noble Field, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. The change aims to allow all three games to be played over the next four days. Tickets for Game 1 will be valid for Thursday’s game, and digital tickets will be updated accordingly.
Schedule adjustments for Games 2 and 3 are still being evaluated as both teams monitor the weekend weather forecast. The university said updates will be provided once plans are finalized and the forecast is clearer.
Mississippi State, ranked No. 4 nationally, holds a 9-0 all-time record against Lipscomb, including a three-game sweep in Starkville during their last meeting in 2023.
