Mississippi State Players Meet with Media Ahead of 2026 Season

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State’s men’s basketball players Josh Hubbard, Tajuan Simpkins, and Kendyl Sanders addressed the media Tuesday, sharing updates on their summer preparations and team outlook.

The session was part of the team’s ongoing media activities ahead of the 2026 season. Hubbard, a guard, emphasized his readiness to contribute after returning from an injury, stating, “I’m back and focused on helping the team succeed.”

Head coach Chris Jans also participated in a separate media session, discussing the team’s offseason progress and expectations for the upcoming campaign. The Bulldogs are preparing for their Greenbrier tip-off against Xavier, scheduled for next month.

Mississippi State players and staff have been active in the summer, with some players participating in the NBA Summer League. The team will continue to build chemistry during the preseason as they aim to improve upon last season’s results.
