Mississippi State Men’s Golf Opens Spring Season at Watersound Invitational
Panama City Beach, Fla. — Mississippi State men’s golf started its 2026 spring season Monday at the Watersound Invitational. The Bulldogs have participated in the event for three consecutive years, with this year’s tournament held at the Third Golf Course at Watersound Club, a par-71 layout stretching 7,138 yards, according to team sources.
Head coach Dusty Smith expressed confidence ahead of the event. “We’ve had a good few weeks of preparation and look forward to the week,” he said. “The focus and intention in practice has been where it needs to be. We need to go out and trust our training this week with great intention on our playing focus.”
The tournament features a strong field, including four teams ranked in the top 25 nationally by SCOREBOARD — No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 8 Arkansas, No. 9 Ole Miss, and No. 11 Alabama — along with eight additional teams.
Mississippi State’s lineup includes Garrett Endicott, Ugo Malcor, Dain Richie, Jackson Skinner, and Drew Wilson, with Endicott serving as the team’s No. 1 player. Endicott, a senior from San Antonio, Texas, led the Bulldogs in scoring during the fall and is currently ranked 25th in the PGA Tour U Rankings.
Also competing as an individual is redshirt freshman Ben Kelling from Germany, who most recently tied for 16th at the Thomas Sharkey Individual Collegiate. The Bulldogs tee off with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. CT. Live scoring is available on SCOREBOARD.
