Mississippi State Falls to Texas A&M in Final Minutes, 68-64
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Mississippi State women’s basketball dropped a 68-64 decision to Texas A&M on Thursday night. The Aggies overcame a five-point deficit in the final 10 minutes to secure the win, according to the game summary.
Madison Francis led the Bulldogs with 19 points, marking her 21st game in double figures this season. She also contributed two blocks, moving her season total to 80, just two shy of tying the Mississippi State freshman record. Francis added nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Chandler Prater provided a spark off the bench with 13 points and nine rebounds. The senior’s performance marked her 50th career game in double figures and her 10th of the season. She also led the team with four assists and four steals.
Favour Nwaedozi recorded her 13th double-double of the season, finishing with 11 points and 14 rebounds. Trayanna Crisp scored 12 points, including three three-pointers, with nine of her points coming from beyond the arc. Prior to this game, the Bulldogs were 6-1 when Crisp made at least three three-pointers.
Mississippi State will close out the regular season against sixth-ranked LSU at Humphrey Coliseum. The game is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday on SEC Network, with senior day festivities slated to begin approximately 30 minutes earlier.
