Ethan Small, one of the most accomplished pitchers in Mississippi State history, joined the ‘Dear Ol’ State’ podcast to discuss his journey to Starkville, his achievements as SEC and national Pitcher of the Year, and his upcoming professional baseball prospects. Small’s interview is part of the Hail State Podcast Network and is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
In addition, the podcast featured Kinley Keller, the reigning SEC Freshman of the Week, who talked about her recruiting process and took listeners inside a day of outfield practice with associate head coach Tyler Bratton. Keller’s segment aired on Feb. 18.
Mississippi State women’s basketball head coach Sam Purcell also appeared on the podcast to discuss the team’s recent two-game winning streak and their upcoming game against Florida. Purcell emphasized the team’s focus and mentality as March approaches.
On the men’s side, head coach Chris Jans discussed the Bulldogs’ recent victory over Ole Miss in Oxford, where Josh Hubbard set the school’s career record for 3-pointers. Jans highlighted the significance of the win and looked ahead to the upcoming game against Auburn. His interview was released on Feb. 16.
