Millsaps Sprinter Fiona Selders Named SAA Women’s Track Athlete of the Week
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Millsaps College junior Fiona Selders has been named the Southern Athletic Association Women’s Track Athlete of the Week, according to the conference. The award follows her performance at the Mississippi College Spring Classic on Saturday.
Selders finished 10th in the 100 meters with a time of 12.33 seconds, marking the second-fastest in program history, according to Millsaps Athletics. She also placed eighth in the 200 meters, crossing the finish line in 25.29 seconds, the third-fastest in school history. Her efforts helped her close out the weekend strong in Clinton, Mississippi.
The Majors will continue their spring schedule at the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 20-21.
