Millsaps Softball’s Ella Morgan Sears Named SAA Athlete of the Week
Canton, Georgia — Millsaps College softball center fielder Ella Morgan Sears has been named the Southern Athletic Association Athlete of the Week. The honor was announced Monday following a conference-wide voting by sports information directors.
Sears posted a .600 on-base percentage and a .571 batting average (8-for-14) in recent games. She recorded two hits in each of four games, drove in one run, scored twice, stole two bases and was hit by a pitch, according to the school.
The 2025 All-SAA Honorable Mention student-athlete leads the team through nine games with 13 hits, a .406 batting average and a .441 on-base percentage. Millsaps recently swept a three-game series against Mississippi University for Women and also challenged No. 14 Belhaven.
