Kentucky women’s basketball beats Ole Miss 74-57 in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Ole Miss women’s basketball team lost to Kentucky, 74-57, Sunday afternoon at Memorial Coliseum. The Rebels, ranked 14th/16th, fell to the 18th/19th Wildcats in a game that saw Kentucky build an early lead and hold it throughout.

Ole Miss (20-6, 7-4 SEC) trailed 17-11 after the first quarter but struggled to gain momentum in the second. Kentucky outscored the Rebels 19-0 at one point, pushing its halftime lead to 39-20. Despite a strong third quarter from Ole Miss, including a 9-2 run sparked by a three from Cotie McMahon, Kentucky maintained a comfortable advantage.

McMahon led Ole Miss with 18 points, her 18th game leading the team this season. Christeen Iwuala scored 10 points, and Latasha Lattimore recorded her third consecutive double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Lattimore also added three blocks, reaching 56 blocks this season, the most by a Rebel since 2021-22.

Clara Strack paced Kentucky with 28 points and nine rebounds. The Wildcats moved to 20-7 overall and 7-6 in SEC play. Ole Miss will host Tennessee on Feb. 17 at the SJB Pavilion, with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game broadcast on ESPNU.
