Jones College to Face Daytona State in NJCAA Division I Tournament Opener

ELLISVILLE, Miss. — Jones College has learned its seed, opponent and game time for the upcoming NJCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Bobcats, with a 24-9 record, are the No. 16 seed and will face No. 17 seed Daytona State, which has a 26-7 record, on Saturday at noon.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs. Jones is seeking its first national tournament win since 2017. Daytona State reached the quarterfinals last season but did not advance further.

The tournament runs from March 21 to March 28 at the Hutchinson Sports Arena in Hutchinson, Kansas. Tickets are available online at njcaa.org/tickets. All games will be streamed live on ESPN+, with the championship game scheduled for Saturday at 3 p.m. Central Time on ESPNU.

Jones College recently secured its third consecutive NJCAA Region 23 Championship and now advances to the national tournament. The Bobcats expressed excitement about continuing their postseason run, sharing their enthusiasm on social media.
