Jones College Pitcher Trevor Hodges Named MACCC Pitcher of the Week

Jones College’s Trevor Hodges has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Pitcher of the Week. The freshman right-hander from Watson, Louisiana, made two relief appearances last week against ranked opponents No. 25 Mississippi Gulf Coast and No. 23 Shelton State.

Hodges pitched a total of 8.1 innings, allowing just one hit with 11 strikeouts and no walks. His efforts helped the Bobcats secure two wins. In a 7-3 victory over Gulf Coast, he pitched five scoreless innings, allowing no hits or walks and striking out seven. In a 5-4 win over Shelton State, he threw 3.1 innings, allowing one hit and striking out four with no walks.

Through the season, Hodges has a 2-0 record with two saves, a 1.88 earned run average and 28 strikeouts in 24 innings. Jones hosts Holmes and Itawamba in single, seven-inning games Tuesday at The Bank.
