Jones Bobcats rally in fourth quarter to beat Mississippi Delta 64-57
MOORHEAD — Larissa Hubbard scored 15 of her team-high 17 points in the fourth quarter, helping Jones secure a 64-57 victory at Mississippi Delta on Thursday night. The Bobcats improved to 14-3 overall and 3-1 in the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference.
Jones trailed by as many as 10 points in the first half and did not take its first lead until Hubbard hit back-to-back three-pointers to make it 45-43 with 8:08 remaining. The Bobcats outscored MDCC 25-14 in the final period, with Hubbard going 6-for-6 in the quarter. All 17 of her points came after halftime.
Lamarah Cleaves posted her third double-double in four games with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Zharia Leflore added 12 points, and Jakera Ducksworth scored eight points with seven rebounds. Jones shot 38% for the game and was 6-for-12 from three-point range.
Jones returns home Monday to host East Mississippi. Due to winter weather, the game may be moved to Tuesday. Stats for Mississippi Delta were unavailable at the time of this report.
