Jackson State women’s tennis extends winning streak to six with victory over Delta State

Jackson State women’s tennis beat Delta State 4-0 Tuesday afternoon at home, pushing its winning streak to six matches. The Tigers, with a 10-9 record overall and a 6-0 mark in Southwestern Athletic Conference play, secured the doubles point with victories from the teams of Isabella Benavides and Polina Georgieva, and Helen Hernandez and Victoria Linkovski. Both doubles teams defeated their opponents 6-2.

In singles play, senior Daniela Tovar was the first to finish, winning her match 6-3, 6-1 on court six. Alvarez completed her perfect day with a 6-3, 6-2 victory on court five. Linkovski sealed the win for Jackson State with a 6-4, 6-2 win on court three, extending the team’s winning streak.
