Jackson State Leads SWAC Bowling Standings After Undefeated Roundup
The Jackson State bowling team finished the Southwestern Athletic Conference West Round Up at the top of the standings with a 12-2 record, after an undefeated third day of competition. The Tigers opened the day with a win over Texas Southern, scoring 960-879, and followed with a victory against Prairie View A&M, 1,000-787.
They continued their success by defeating Southern, 900-759, and Alabama A&M, 935-867, to conclude the event with the best overall record among conference teams. Paige Hubert led all bowlers with a 209.07 average and a total of 2,927 pins, securing her spot at the top of the individual standings.
Tiara Henderson finished third in the individual standings with a 190.64 average, while Faith Washington placed fifth with an average of 188.29. The Tigers now prepare for the SWAC East Round Up, scheduled for Feb. 6-8 in Huntsville, Alabama. They aim to win their first SWAC regular season title since 2016.
