Jackson State Baseball announces 2026 schedule

Jackson State University’s baseball team will play a 2026 schedule that includes 10 home series and eight additional games inside Mississippi, according to an announcement from the school’s Division of Athletics and head coach Omar Johnson.

The Tigers open the season Feb. 13 with three games at Trustmark Park in Pearl, Mississippi. They will face Prairie View A&M, Alabama A&M, and Alcorn State in the opening weekend, before traveling to Ole Miss on Feb. 18.

Following the opening series, Jackson State will compete in Vero Beach, Florida, against Texas Southern, Yale, and Grambling State from Feb. 20-22. They return to Braddy Field for a doubleheader against Tougaloo on Feb. 24. The team then embarks on a nine-game road trip beginning March 3, with stops in New Orleans, Seattle, Nicholls, Texas Southern, and Mississippi State.

The Tigers return home for a three-game series against Prairie View A&M from March 20-22, followed by a series against New Orleans. They conclude March with an away series at Bethune-Cookman, the defending conference champion, from March 27-29.

In April, Jackson State will host Tougaloo, Florida A&M, and Alabama State, while also traveling for a series against Alabama A&M. The team’s regular season wraps up with a series at Mississippi Valley State and a home series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in mid-May. The SWAC tournament is scheduled for May 20-25 in Birmingham, Alabama.
