Jackson State Announces Schedule and Parking Details for Blue & White Spring Game

Jackson State University has outlined key details for fans attending the Blue & White Game on Saturday, April 11. The day features multiple events starting at 8 a.m., including the Sweetness 5K at the Walter Payton Center and A Day with the Boom at the Lee E. Williams Athletics & Assembly Center.

The schedule continues with Junior Preview Day at 9 a.m. in the Rose McCoy Auditorium and the Blue & White Game at 12:30 p.m. Senior Day for tennis against Alcorn State begins at 1 p.m., followed by a baseball game versus Florida A&M at 3 p.m. The Thee I Love Bash at the intramural field will also take place that afternoon.

Fans interested in tailgating must reserve spots in advance by Friday. RV parking begins Friday at 6 p.m. in the Walter Payton Center lot, with attendants overseeing arrivals. Tent tailgates require a 10-by-10-foot area and fans must bring their own tents. All cars must park in designated lots, and no vehicles are permitted in the tailgating areas.

Seating options include bleachers at the Walter Payton Center or lawn chairs on the grass near the bleachers. Fans are prohibited from crossing over the facility or entering the field. A clear bag policy will be enforced, and no food will be allowed through security gates.

Parking for the various events has been assigned to specific lots. Attendees for the Sweetness 5K can park in the College of Business, Liberal Arts, and Tower lots. Those attending Junior Preview Day should use the John A. Peoples Lots, entering through the Prentiss Street Booth. Tennis spectators are directed to the Poindexter and Facilities Lots. The Blue & White Game parking areas include the T.B. Ellis Lot, College of Business Lot, Liberal Arts Lot, and Poindexter Lot, with specific entrance points for each.

Safety measures include street closures on Dalton Street and surrounding areas starting at 5 a.m. to accommodate the 5K. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to allow sufficient time for parking and walking. Campus police and event staff will provide directions, and all participants are urged to follow posted signage.

Jackson State Athletics recommends following their social media accounts for updates and coverage of the events. Fans can find more information on the official athletics website at GoJSUTigers.com.
