Hinds Community College Baseball Opens 2026 Season at Home Against Millsaps
The Hinds Community College baseball team will open the 2026 season Friday, January 30, with a doubleheader against Millsaps College at Joe G. Moss Field in Raymond, Miss., according to school officials.
The Eagles return a deep and experienced pitching staff led by veterans Charles Chisolm, Thomas Nicols, Amzie Cochran, Ethan Ross, Sam Stumph, Jacob Galloway, Kylan Landers, Hunter Parker, Jack Wright, Calvin Robinson, Tyler West, and Peyton Beck. Freshman Jack Grove is also expected to contribute out of the bullpen, adding depth to the staff.
Hinds’ coaching staff focused on recruiting pitching depth and infield versatility. New additions include Brady Griffin, Aiden Mela, Rhett Murphy, and Cooper Loftin to strengthen the roster. The outfield will feature Cade Fairley, Cole Stumph, Rolen Fanning, Tanner Alhinai, and Sam Sheffield, who are expected to see most of the action.
In the infield, the Eagles plan to rotate players such as Brody Breithaupt, Ryder Molea, Ty Ramage, Lane Almond, Ford Matthews, Ben Kennedy, AJ Seiter, and Hayden Smith. Behind the plate, the team will rely on experienced options including RJ Brown, Ethan Keen, Cameron McClain, and Ty Ramage.
