Delta State Athletics Schedule Adjusted Due to Winter Weather

Due to winter weather in Cleveland, Mississippi, Delta State University has announced schedule changes for upcoming athletic events.

The women’s tennis exhibition match against Tennessee State University has been canceled and will not be rescheduled, according to school officials.

The Lady Statesmen will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 1, when they face the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Lions at 12 p.m. Central Time.

The men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader against Union University has been postponed to Tuesday evening. The Lady Statesmen will take on the Lady Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Statesmen against the Bulldogs at approximately 7:30 p.m., both at Fred DeLay Gymnasium.

The broadcast of the men’s game will be handled by Voice of the Statesmen Michael Gross on the Statesmen Sports Radio Network, with a pregame show beginning at 5 p.m.
