Delta State Athletics Announces Weekly Schedule and Highlights

Delta State University is hosting its annual Go Green Weekend, featuring a busy schedule of athletic events. On Tuesday, the tennis teams face Mississippi College at 2 p.m. in Clinton, Mississippi. Live results are available for both men’s and women’s matches. The baseball team hosts Arkansas Tech at 4 p.m. in Russellville, Arkansas, with live stats, streaming, and radio options.

The softball team plays a doubleheader against LeMoyne-Owen on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at University Field. No events are scheduled Thursday. On Friday, tennis faces Auburn Montgomery in Montgomery, Alabama, at 2 p.m., and baseball takes on West Alabama at 3 p.m. at Harvey Stadium-Ferriss Field. Delta State will provide free concessions at the baseball game, courtesy of the Student Government Association and the Division of Student Affairs.

Saturday’s events include baseball hosting West Alabama at 1 p.m., with ceremonial first pitches by the Class of 2026 and induction of the 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame class, including John Polles and Coach Jeff McClaskey. Softball also plays West Alabama at 1 p.m. at University Field, and tennis travels to Tuskegee, Alabama, to face Tuskegee at 1 p.m. Live results and streaming options will be available for all matches.

The week concludes with softball hosting West Alabama at 1 p.m. Sunday at University Field, with free concessions provided again by the SGA and Student Affairs. Recent highlights include Santiago Santodomingo winning a national championship at the NCAA Swim and Dive Championships, and the men’s tennis team sweeping Alcorn State 7-0.
