Crusaders Finish Fourth at Blue Mountain Christian University Spring Classic
WEST POINT, Miss. — The Crusaders finished fourth at the Blue Mountain Christian University Spring Classic, held at Mossy Oak Golf Club. They competed against a field that included several nationally ranked teams and held their position throughout the event.
The Crusaders opened with a team score of 304, placing third after the first round. Ethan Holway led the team with a 1-over-par 73. Conditions worsened during the second round, with scores rising across the field. The Crusaders posted a 310, remaining tied for fourth entering the final round.
Calmer weather returned for the third round, and the Crusaders maintained their position with a team score of 305. They finished tied for fourth with Coastal Georgia, a No. 5-ranked team, and earned a tiebreaker over No. 18 Point University. The team finished two shots behind No. 9 Blue Mountain, which took third, while Dalton State claimed the team title and Reinhardt was runner-up.
Chance Elston led the Crusaders in the final round with an even-par 72, finishing tied for 11th overall alongside teammate Ethan Holway, who shot rounds of 73, 78, and 77. The Crusaders will compete next at the SSAC Conference Championship in Greenville, Alabama, from April 10 to 12.
