Blue Mountain Christian’s Lucia Garcia Named SSAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

Montgomery, Alabama — Blue Mountain Christian College sophomore Lucia Garcia has been named the SSAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week after a standout performance in the Toppers’ season-opening match against Millsaps College.

Garcia teamed with Lina Cetina to win their doubles match 6–2, controlling the pace from the baseline and giving BMCU an early advantage. In singles, the Santa Irene, Spain native scored a 6–0, 6–0 victory without dropping a game, showcasing her consistency and composure.

Her dominant singles performance highlighted her offseason preparation and positioned her as a key player for the Toppers this spring. The win marked an impressive start to her season and provided momentum for Blue Mountain Christian moving forward, according to the conference.
