Blue Mountain Christian Opens SSAC Tennis Play with 4-3 Win over UT Southern

The Blue Mountain Christian Toppers opened Southern States Athletic Conference tennis play with a 4-3 victory over UT Southern on Tuesday. The match started strong for the Toppers during doubles play, where they won two of three matches.

Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos led the charge with a 6-1 win. Kiersten Terris and Nami Malyaporn added another point with a 6-2 victory. Lina Cetina and Lucia Rodriguez Garcia battled but fell 7-6 in a close contest.

In singles action, Mordiz continued her success at the No. 1 spot, winning 6-2, 6-0. Cetina also secured a win with a 7-5, 6-0 score. Malyaporn earned her point with a 6-0, 6-3 victory. Ramos fought hard but lost in a third-set tiebreaker, 10-2. Rodriguez Garcia and Terris both fell in their singles matches, with scores of 0-6, 3-6, and 3-6, 0-6, respectively.
