Jackson — Belhaven University has announced its 2026 Hall of Fame class, featuring five former student-athletes representing four athletic programs. The inductees will be honored during Homecoming festivities on October 24.
The class includes Tom Cosgrave from men’s soccer, Daniel Prado from men’s tennis, Julienne Broussard from softball, and baseball players Paul Warren and Larkin Braxton.
Cosgrave played for Belhaven from 2009 to 2012. He was a key defender and captain of the team that won the 2012 NAIA men’s soccer national championship. He earned All-America Honorable Mention and All-SSAC First Team honors that season and was named the tournament’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Prado, a two-sport athlete from 2011 to 2015, competed in men’s tennis and men’s soccer. He finished with a 38-13 singles record and 43-19 doubles record. Prado helped the team reach four NAIA tournaments and was an All-America Honorable Mention selection in 2014. After his playing days, he served as Belhaven’s head men’s and women’s tennis coach, leading both teams to the 2017 NCCAA Mideast Regionals.
Broussard played softball from 2015 to 2016, helping Belhaven reach the 2016 NCCAA World Series runner-up. She was named NCCAA All-America and earned All-Region honors twice. Broussard holds the program record for batting average against at .169 and ranks second in career ERA at 1.49.
Warren, a two-way player from 1987 to 1989, ranks among the top five in several offensive and pitching categories in Belhaven baseball history. He hit .407 for his career, ranking fourth all-time, and had a standout season in 1989 with a .453 batting average and 10 home runs, earning GCAC Player of the Year honors.
Braxton pitched for Belhaven from 2004 to 2007, ranking second all-time in wins (26) and strikeouts (273). He was part of the 2006 GCAC Championship team and earned All-GCAC honors. Braxton is also one of only five Belhaven pitchers to strike out over 100 batters in a single season.
The inductees were selected based on nominations and votes from the Belhaven Hall of Fame committee. Eligibility requires at least five years since the end of their playing careers. Full biographies will be released ahead of the induction ceremony.
